Lacquer Box Showing

Good afternoon! Three high end pieces are brought to you today. All are similar in that they show some lovely women, but you will see that each of the women has a characterthat is quite different from one another. Two of the boxes wered done by Fedoskino artist Svetlana Chirkova, a master of this genre. Her flawless execution of the subject matter is quite remarkable and she has gained a well deserved reputation for creating the most exquisite miniatures. The other was done by I. Khomutinnikova, and after admiring her "Snow Maiden" here, we would love to see a lot more from her.
