Shipping and Other Information

1. Method of Payment

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express, as well as personal checks, money orders, and C.O.D.'s.

2. Shipping Methods

Our most popular shipping method is US Postal Service Priority Mail, charged at a low flat rate of $5.00. This typically takes 2-3 business days, and is deliverable to both street addresses and PO Boxes. For US residents, We also offer FedEx 2 Day shipping, at a flat rate of $10, and USPS Express shipping, overnight to most places, at a flat rate of $20.

International shipping is done by US Postal Service Air Mail, and is charged at cost. (Upon request, we can ship via private shipping companies, but the cost is higher.) Shipping charges vary by country, but usually are between $15-$20 for modest packages (one or two lacquer boxes, for example). This charge will be added to your total when we prepare your order for shipment. We would be happy to provide an estimate for the shipping cost before you place your order. If you would like a shipping estimate, or have any special shipping requirements, please e-mail us at ajstone@lacquerbox.com with your request.

3. Shipping timetable and guarantee

We ship regular orders the day that they are received or the next business day. We ship orders placed on Lacquerbox.com's First Wednesday Make-an-Offer day within two business days. In preparing your order for shipment, we ensure that it is packed very securely. In the very unlikely event that your package is damaged in shipping, simply return the item for a full refund.

5. Taxes

1. Maryland residents will be charged 6% state sales tax. Out-of-state customers will not be charged sales tax.
2. International customers may be charged customs duties or Value Added Taxes. These fees are levied and collected by foreign customs offices, not by Tradestone Gallery. Any such fees will not be included in an international customer's total price with us. Instead, these charges would be payable to the appropriate authority in the customer's country.

6. Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 30-Day Money Back Guarantee on all items purchased at Tradestone Gallery. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, simply return it within 30 days for a refund of your full purchase price.

7. Source of our products

Since the opening of Tradestone Gallery and lacquerbox.com on the internet in 1996, we have been purchasing the boxes and other items for sale in our gallery directly from the Russian artists and craftsmen themselves, or from the Russian factories and workshops which produce the goods. This allows us to guarantee their authenticity and quality, and also enables us to bring them to you at the lowest price possible.
