Lacquer Box Showing
Thursday, October 28th, 2010
Welcome! We have six fine works to tempt you today, and "Dreamland" starts us off with great creativity and a refreshingly different palette of colors. Maria Vagner follows this with a lovely image at a mother and child, a composition undoubtedly influenced by icon depictions of the Virgin Mary and Baby Jesus. And those wanting a substantial high quality fairy tale piece from Kholui might want to consider the next one, "The Stone Flower", a box as beautiful and honest as they come. But a pre-Halloween showing would not seem right without a witch, and the Russian "Baba-Yaga" pays us a visit in this colorful well done work from the village of Kholui. Thanks for checking in. We'll be back next week with a work from the always interesting Pavel Anokhin. Page 1 of 1 total page with 6 results.
