Welcome. With just seven boxes today, we seem to have a little bit of something for everyone. We start out with a lovely nude painted by Fedoskino artist Galina Dubovika. This artist, in her 70s, has had many years of experience doing portraits and other scenes, and this one should rank high on her list of achievements. The next box by fellow Fedoskino painter Slaeva features another woman, this time with some captivating big brown eyes, who possesses that the look and warmth of a person whom you have known all your life. Kholui artist Dmitriev brings a fairy tale work to the top row, the colorful and well done "Vasilisa". Cat lovers will especially like the next one, cute as a button and done to perfection. Following that is an unusual and nicely done miniature in the shape of a vase, painted way back in 1994. Meanwhile,"Queen of the Night" is near the bottom of this showing, but it may be the most appealing work here with its beautiful imagery and air of mystery. Finally, "The Troika" is surprisingly good, particularly for those who like Palekh works and the fine gold lines they are known for.
