Lacquer Box Showing
Thursday, January 21st, 2010
Welcome! We have a fine group of nine lacquer box works to show you today beginning with great scene of Moscow. The box was done by Aleksey Puchkov, son of late Fedoskino artist Petr Puchkov, who passed away several years ago. The father's legacy for creating magnificent architectural scenes has not been lost on his son, though, as Aleksey gives us this very lovely panoramic view of some of Moscow's most famous architecture. Following this piece are two exciting scenes from Fedoskino artist Irina Turbeneva, a truly up and coming artist who uses a very distinctive style and color palette. The second tier today also holds some treasures, too. Be sure to check them out. Thank you for joining us, and come back next Thursday which will also be highlighted by several other fine works from Fedoskino.
