Last Showing of 2008!
In our last showing of 2008, we present some truly beautiful pieces, including ones by Fedoskino artists E. Aldoshkina and S. Kirsanov, who were both included in the recently published Lacquer Miniature - Catalogue of Works. Aldoshkina's "Holy Sunday" combines a high level of intricacy, beauty,and spiritual warmth in a tender moment between two people. The box would be a standout in any collection. "Old Church", meanwhile, is a beautiful comtemplative piece and the inlay of mother-of-pearl that lights up the sky literally takes your breath away. We are even thinking of doing our next giclee print based on this work. "Fairy Tale Fantasy" by Fedoskino artist Maria Vagner also has a lovely inlay of mother-of-pearl, and this, combined with her signature jewel-tone colors, create a very pleasing, if not dazzling, effect. The next row is also filled with three very fine pieces, as well, so be sure to check them out.
