Vitalij Borisov was born on 7 November 1968 in the town of Eletrostal, Moscow district. He graduated the Fedoskino art school and took second place in a lacquer miniature competition there. This year he is planning to complete another art degree by finishing the Glazunov Art Academy. Borisov has had art shows both at home and abroad including one at the Sovincenter in Moscow. Borisov paints highly original works, many of them done on delightfully unusually shaped boxes which complement and support the individual themes. Borisov is a complete artist who has experience in oil painting, as well. He also does restoration of paintings. Borisov now lives in Moscow with his wife who knows his secret passion - "vareniki" (American call this dish pirogies).
