A fairy that causes people to forget their loved ones and to completely devote themselves to work, the Mistress of the Copper Mountain is depicted in all her grandeur on this pendant. Decorated with a myriad of precious stones and a majestic crown, the Mistress gazes with air of composure at the viewer. The green, gold, blue and scarlet colors in the painting, as well as the perception of flow (a natural quality of serpentine) create an image that is at once serene and turbulent.
This unique pendant is painted by a famous Russian lacquer artist from Palekh, Vera Smirnova, using traditional miniature lacquer painting techniques. The pendant is made from serpentine stone and surrounded by a German silver frame.
