Mistress of the Copper Mountain (2017)from Palekh by Vera SmirnovaDimensions: 0.75" x 0.20" x 1.25"(1.91 x 0.51 x 3.18 cm) Inspired by the fairytales: The Stone Flower Gallery Price: $ 235.00 Internet Price: $ 215.00 None currently available |
With a flower in her hand, the Mistress of Copper Mountain is turned halfway towards the viewer. Her gentle gaze and slightly tilted head seem to be inviting to follow her. But oh! How many have perished after following this owner of riches, who makes people forget their families for the sake of pursuing their artistic passion. But here she is depicted as a graceful, ephemeral, gentle fairy, with only the blue tone of her skin and the murky green background hinting at her perilous nature.
