Tsar Dadon is quite at peace now that he has the magical Golden Cockerel to protect his kingdom. But will the king remember the kindness once rendered to him, and keep his promise to the eunuch?
The painting is done in traditional Mstera style, with the background fully filled with color. The orange, red, and white, contrast beautifully with the blue sky in the composition. The scene is adorned with a gold flower ornament.
The box is made from papier mache. It sits flat (no legs), and opens without a hinge. The interior is red. Lacquer is in good condition. The box contains the original USSR certificate issued by the Arts Manufactory of Mstera ("The Proletariat Art").
