This delicate oval box was painted by Tatyana Smirnova in 2004. A young woman adjusts her hat, as she looks in the mirror. The hat is a rather spectacular one with feathers and fine detailing. The rest of her attire is luxurious as well, accentuated with fine gold lines. The mirror has a small piece of mother of pearl in it, and the face that is reflected back to the young lady appears to be a younger version of her current self. The box has some beautifully drawn ornaments around the top and on the sides. It sits on four small legs and has a red interior. Signed with the name of the artist, village and year. On the very bottom, Smirnova writes "Made in Russia" and draws her signature "TC" mark.
