Two cranes linger near the water, one taking a drink, the other turning his head high as he peers into the cloudy sky. The painting is beautifully nuanced with an essentially monochromatic color scheme and balanced composition. The sides and bottom are black with no ornament. The box is made out of papier mache and there is a hinge at the top. "Made in USSR" is written on the bottom of the box. Signed by the artist at the bottom right corner of the drawing.
