This small round box was painted by Fedoskino artist Rogatov in 1980 in the former USSR. Pale green and other subtle colors dominate the landscape, adding to its peaceful aura. Four birds circle in the sky above. The box is made out of high quality papier mache and has a red interior. Signed with the name of the artist, village and year on the top. On the bottom, "Made in USSR" is written, along with a number, perhaps used for identification purposes.
