Palekh artist Evgeniya Nebogatova paints a lovely woman, symbolic of Spring, standing alone in a field with a small bouquet of flowers in he hand. She is dressed warmly with a hint of a smile on he face. Her eyes have a kind and gentle nature to them, and a genuineness that is hard to describe. Two Russian steeples rise up majestically in the background, along with groups of tall trees. The artist drew an elaborate gold ornament around the sides. The box, made out of high quality papier mache, sits on four small legs. The interior is red and the box is hinged. The artist signed here name at the bottom of the drawing along with the village. This modest scene is very well done with quiet understated beauty.
