Two noble looking couples are drawn on each side of this violin shaped box. There is an air of romance in both scenes as the couples touch hands (on one of the sides) and embrace each other (on the other side). Their dress is extravagant and well detailed, and will take you back to a completely different century. Fine silver touches of silver bring a luminescence to their clothing on one of the sides, and on the other side very light amounts of radiant gold tastefully spruce things up, as well. The couple is standing amid tall birch trees, which are also drawn on the side of the box. They are drawn even more prominently on the beautifully sculpted stand which can be used to raise the box at a 45 degree angle. The lid of the box opens up and there is a hinge. It is made out of high quality papier mache. Under the lid, the artist wrote her name, village, title, and indicated that it was an original work.
