This long narrow box shows a wonderful panoramic landscape, caught either in the early morning or at dusk. This desolate location is truly very peaceful with no sign of human activity disturbing the natural beauty. The artist inlayed a piece of mother of pearl in the center that has just the perfect iridescence here to cut through the blues and off white colors in the scene. The box has several gold line ornaments, one framing the landscape and the other adorning the sides. It is made out of high quality paper mache and has a hinge. The sides and bottom are black, the inside is red. Signed with the name of the artist at the bottom of the drawing. Beautiful.
