This tall lacquer box resembling a cigarette case was done by Fedoskino artist K. Danshina and shows a proud and handsome on the front. The circular design behind the cat and the archer from ancient times are beautifully done and give the box a classic look. The piece is made even more sensational with the placement of the fine gold filigree lines on the top, and on the back (not pictured). The lines in these two designs meet at a very small central circle and are their radiance seems to flicker on and off as you turn the box in your hands. The total effect brings to mind the extreme precision and exquisiteness of faberge pieces. The sides are a handsome mixture of browns and blacks. The interior is red. The box is made out of high quality papier mache and there is a hinge at the top. Signed with the name of the artist and village.
