This colorful box from the village of Mstera shows us a glimpse of life in the country with a bearded man romancing his lady in the foreground and a fishermen lowering his net in the background. The box is beautifully painted using the time honored traditions of the village of Mstera by the artist L. Zujkov. The house behind the couple, showing old Russian architecture, is especially pleasing to the eye. The drawing is framed with an off white ornament, spruced up with red and orange flowers and green leaves. The ornament around the side is just the off white. The box is made out of high quality papier mache and does not have a hinge or legs. It is signed on the top with the name of the artist, village and title.
