The work by N. Zimin, shaped like a vase has a beautiful elegance to it. A total of 16 people are painted along the sides, each enjoying a fun filled outing just outside of town. Music, dancing and romancing are just some of the activities the group is engaged in. The work is done using the highest traditions of Palekh art. An old wooden structure stands in the background. There are fine details throughout including a good amount of gold detailing. There is also nice gold ornamentation that is painted close to the top and bottom edges. The piece was done more than 15 years ago, and is in perfect condition. Signed with the name of the artist, village and year. This one would be perfect sitting on someone's desk to hold their writing implements. During a hard day at work, the person could look at this and it would remind him or her of the beauty and simple pleasures of life.
