This lovely work by Fedoskino artist G. Dubovikova shows a young women resting in the countryside. She holds a flower in her hand and a few more are growing on the twigs around her. The colors throughout the composition are soft and tender. Except for a diaphanous dark fabric around her legs, she is completely nude, but the composition is quite tasteful, as one might expect coming from an artist of this age and stature. Dubovikova was born in the 1930's, and is one of a true veterans of Fedoskino art. She has has been known to create some of the most beautiful portraits in the village and this one is no exception. The drawing is framed with a thin gold order and two other line ornaments adorn the sides. The base color is black, and the interior is red. The box is made out of papier mache and rests on four legs. It is signed with the name of the artist at the bottom.
