A lovely lady walks through the forest to enjoy the splendor of fall. She stops to share the beginning of a smile with the viewer before admiring the scenery. She wears a sparkling gold wreath of fall leaves and her robes glisten with accents of gold and red. Dragon flies explore the forest as a wise owl watches the beautiful maiden. The scene is detailed with beautiful fall leaves in various colors, mushrooms, and a bridge in the distance. A broder of gold surround the richly colored box. The box, made from high-quality papier mache, is flush with a red interior and the artist's signature (S. Komogorova), village and title on the bottom. Curiously, though the artist is an accomplished Kholui painter, she wrote Fedoskino as the village perhaps because her creative style appears to be swinging more in that direction. Whatever the case, this one is a very attractive work!
