This trio of lovely ladies seem to be taking a break from lace making. The strings and bobbins that surround them indicate that they were hard at work! The calming shades of blues contrast with the vibrant warm gold tones of this box. A silver pattern, mimicking delicate lace, adorns the edge of the lid while a gold design decorates the sides. This box is signed with the title, village, year, and artist (R. Chibisova). It is made of high quality papier mache with a red lacquer interior. In swirls of lace, blues, and gold, this is quite a stunning piece.
