This brightly colored box depicts The Tale of Tsar Saltan. Here we see the swan being transformed into a beautiful princess. Gentle waves froth beneath the vibrant red sun. Gold and silver accents gleam on the top and sides of the box. It is made of high quality papier mache with a red lacquer interior. This piece is signed with the village and artist (Lyakh).
