In an interior scene that could have come from the "Tale of the Dead Princess", a young woman smiles slightly as she looks into the mirror. The artist, I. Shabanova, painted this small Fedoskino box with very nice detail and a tender palette. The throw of fabric on her chair consists of a myriad of pastel colors, and the artist added very delicate accents of radiant gold to the back of the mirror and hem of her dress. There is also a faint glistening to her kokoshnik, possibly from a slight sprinkling of glitter. The box has two gold ornaments against a base color consisting of understated blue and purple shades. The box is made out of high quality papier mache and has a hinge at the left. It is signed at the bottom of the composition with the name of the artist and village.
