In the fairy tale of "The Stone Flower" the master craftsman Danila yearns to see the flower, carved in stone, that everyone has talked about, and here he finally does come upon it. From his stance and the position of his hands, the lad is truly amazed by this discovery. The overall color scheme is a little unusual, but works quite well, and Danila is painted with nice detail. The box has a gold ornament around the sides, which are painted black. The interior is red. The box is made out of papier mache, has a hinge at the left and is signed with the name of the artist(Baulina).
