This lovely box by Fedoskino artist A. Valyalin shows small schools of colorful fish sharing the coral reef and crystal blue waters with a pair of friendly dolphins. This realism in showing this slice of the sea is excellent, and in looking at the box, one might imagine being in the Caribbean, scuba diving, and seeing such a sight with one's own eyes. Around the painting is a crisply drawn gold line ornament. The base color of the box is a mix of blue and gold. The box, which is made out of high quality papier mache, has a hinge at the top and does not have legs. The interior is red. The work is signed at the bottom of the composition with the name of the artist, year and village.

Note: In the photo to the left, you will see some white specks around the dolphin's head. These are just specks of dust that are not part of the box.
