The prince Ivan shoots his arrow into the air to find his future bride, but to his chagrin discovers that a frog has taken it in his little hand. We invite you to read the Frog Princess fairy tale to learn about what happens. The classic scene is as lovely as ever. The gold crown and arrow on the frog helps separate him from the green forest with tall trees and grass. The light olive clothing of Ivan has a nice design and his red cape adds a splash of color. The composition is framed by a simple gold ornament, and another one decorates the sides. The box sits on four small legs and has a hinge at the left.
