With a hint of a smile on her face, this pretty Snow Maiden with her fur lined coat is clearly in her element in this snow covered woods. She is wearing a Russian kokoshnik - blue to match her coat, and an exquisite little snowflake design in the center to match her surroundings. Almost lost in the scene is the very small bird which she is holding. But once your eyes catch of glimpse of this trusting little creature, the scene becomes even more precious. The artist is very skillful in painting all the details and box has a very nice overall look. There is a gold and silver snowflake ornament on the side. The base color is a mix of blues and off whites. The box is made out of high quality papier mache and has a hinge at the left. It is signed with the name of the artist(N. Aksimov) and village.
