A bridge cuts across a small stream and leads to an old church in the center with two orthodox crosses at the top. Several old houses are situated nearby and a small stream of smoke floats up from their chimneys. The moon finds a break in the clouds and shines down on the snow covered earth below. The box has that quintessential Russian look and feeling to it and is beautifully drawn by Fedoskino artist O. Zayakina. The sides of the box start near the top as a pale bluish green and darken toward the bottom. The box is made out of high quality papier mache and has a hinge at the left. It is signed with the name of the artist, village and date.
