The story of Petr and Fevronia are shown on this delightful box from Mstera. The bright cheerful colors are very traditional for the village and painted by a skilled artist from there. Touches of gold have been added to the clothing, armor and rooftops. The gold ornament all around is quite well done, too, and is a little more original than one would normally see on a box of this nature. The box is made out of high quality papier mache and has a hinge at the top. The interior is red. It is signed at the bottom with the name of the artist, village and title.
