Two men with mustaches, perhaps even brothers, huddle around the fox that they have apparently just killed. The companions on their hunting journey - two horses and three dogs - wait to see what their masters would like next. The artist titled this one "Hunter's at Rest", but it looks like the horses are the ones that need the rest as their eyes seem a little droopy. The large box is painted by Fedoskino artist Yu. Golubenkova and gives the viewer a great sense for the wide open spaces of Russia, and man's small place within it. Golubenkova treats us to fine artwork throughout. With snow everywhere and the wind probably sweeping over the empty field, you know it is cold, but somehow you don't mind because of the majesty of the nature around you. The box is made out of high quality papier mache and has a hinge on the top. There is a simple gold line ornament on the side and the box lies flush on the table. It is signed with the name of the artist and title.
