Seasons of the Year (c.2009)from Kholui-style by T. ChechikDimensions: x 3.00" x 2.00" Gallery Price: $ 245.00 Internet Price: $ 215.00 None currently available |
Four horsemen, symbolizing the seasons of the year, are draw within circular spheres of different colors. The sun and the moon, together at the top, look on. Rising up between each horsemen are Russian churches with orthodox crosses. The expressions on he faces of all the horsemen and the sun and moon are quite cheery, and why not, there is much to celebrate during the course of a year! A fair amount of gold highlighting has been drawn in the area of the horsemen, and around the moon and sun. The box consists of the top half which has all the drawings, and the short base which has a modest dot ornament. The base sits on three round legs. On the bottom, the artist writes his name (T. Chechik), the village and title. Very nicely done for the reasonable price.
Note: In the photos here you might notice some white lines on various objects. They are just bits of dust and cotton and are not part of the drawing.
