The Firebird takes center stage in this box, done by Russian artist N. Kazakova. The bird, who has been caught nabbing apples, looks down at Ivan, and with her beak wide open seems to be giving him a piece of her mind! The bird has been drawn in full glory with beautiful embellishments of gold drawn in a precise fashion against its red feathers. In these photos, you only get a hint of the fine gold work done in the drawing; it person it is quite beautiful. The well crafted box has a nice look and feel to it. It has a hinge at the left and a red interior. It is signed at the bottom with the name of the artist, village and title.
