A fairy on a small carpet is being transported magically through the sky by a swarm of multicolored butterflies. The box has a very beautiful look to it with the radiant gold accents on the fairy's dress contrasting with the milder pastel colors of the sky and ground below. The fairy's wings blend in well with those of the butterflies, perhaps suggesting an intimate harmony between her and the insects. There is a simple line ornament around the sides, which are black. The bottom of the box is also black, but has a small stem with several pink flowers drawn in the center. The box is made out of high quality papier mache and has a hinge at the top. It is signed at the bottom with the name of the artist, village and year.
