A bird and fox are nose to beak in this pleasant work entitled "In the Woods" by G. V. Dobrynina. The fox is rather perturbed, and for good reason. He's so close, but knows that once he opens his mouth, our little feathered creature will simply fly off into the distance. Two wide eyed squirrels, meanwhile, provide a second light hearted scene in the background, as one of them extends his little paw to the other as if to say "Come on, lets share!". Nicely done, and a colorful border with gold, silver, blue and red frames the scene, and a similar one adorns the sides. The box has a hinge and sits on four small legs. The artist signed the work at the bottom of the drawing with her name, village and title. On the bottom of the box, the symbol of Kholui is also hand drawn.
