Two wise owls, one on the top and one the side, sit calmly on their perches, eyeing all the birds and small animals around him from the smallest ladybug to a hungry wild cat. The eyes and plumage of the owl on the side are particularly well drawn and command the viewer's attention. The cylindric shaped box has a gentle concave shape which beckons to be held. A fine gold and silver ornament complements the scenes perfectly. The box is made out of high quality papier mache and does not have a hinge. The interior is red. It is signed with the name of the artist (Demidov) and title.
