The scarlet skirts of a dancer billow like the petals of an exquisite flower as she twirls. Subtle metallic accents and mother of pearl inlay add a rich, velvety feel to the garment, which is balanced by the brilliant white of her sheer veil and handkerchief. Delicate embroidery on her gown and headpiece are echoed by the jewel like tones of the tall grasses and wildflowers. Painterly skill has created the illusion of brilliant sunlight accenting her delicate skin and drawing the eye to her face. The sides are decorated with a thick, lace like border of tiny red blossoms and delicate golden leaves and traceries. The box has a hinge and is signed on the top with the name of the artist (A. Zayakin) and village. Zayakin did a similar box for us last year. This one is just as nice, if not better.
