The personification of morning stands before the roiling jewel tones of a sky tinged with the first light of dawn. A tangle of silvery branches caresses her face before disappearig in her gleaming auburn mane. A pair of birds perch on the twigs, greeting her arrival with song. The warm glow of sunlight kisses her fair skin with a soft pink glow which is much warmer in person than it appears in the photograph. The abstract iridescence of twin abalone inlays frame the figure, echoing the tumultuous sky. Shimmering sand colored panels adorned with jewel colored flowers flank the figure, evoking the sensuality of a silken robe's lazy slide from bare shoulders. This box is made of high quality papier mache and is signed on the flush base with the title, artist's name, and village. There is a hinge on the left, and the interior is red lacquer.
