Not only is this doll one of the biggest that we have ever had (30 pieces!), but it is one of the prettiest. The scenes are all set in winter and in the country. There are even a few that bring to mind fairy tale motifs (we see you Snow Maiden!). Each scene is meticulously drawn and beautifully laid out, and around them all is a gold ornament, punctuated with spots of red and green glitter. At the top of each piece is the face of a very pretty lady in gold headdress with slightly larger areas of glitter for effect. On the back of each piece is a a flower design in shades of red and pink. The artist wrote how many pieces are in the set on the bottom of the largest doll, and also wrote "artist" along with her insignia initials. All pieces have a shiny lacquer finish. Truly an outsanding doll that undoubtedly took many months to complete.
