Soviet hat emblem decorated with symbols of the Russian Revolution - hammer and sickle, and a red star. During the revolution, the hammer stood for industrial labourers and the sickle for the peasantry; together they stood for the worker-peasant alliance for socialism. The emblem has two prongs on the back to fit it on a hat or as a decoration.
