Prince Gvidon and his mother look on in awe at the magnificent palace that came to being overnight. The palace, and not the barrel atop of which the queen is sitting, will now be their home. The deserted island to which they drifted will now be a place of beauty, miracles, and hospitality - all thanks to the white swan. The painting is traditional, with bright contrast of warm and cool tones and elaborate gold and silver ornamentation.

The box is made from papier mache. It's elevated about 1/4" above the ground by sculpted edges of the bottom. It has a hinge at the top and opens to a red interior. Lacquer is in very good condition. Signed with the name of the artist, village, composition name, and year.
