An angel, with flowers in her hair, floats through the sky playing a heavenly tune on her long horn. The atmosphere is not of this world, and the angel seems to transport your mind into a better place. Her face is done very beautifully with incredible detail while her body and wings have a more ethereal quality to them. It's as if you tried to touch her, your finger would pass right through. The box has a dot ornament that frames it, and a line and dot ornament around the sides. It is made out of high quality papier mache and sits flat. The box is a rare collaborative effort between two of Palekh's most well known artists, who also happen to be sisters - Tatyana and Vera Smirnova. Very lovely work!
