With the help of an energetic pair of geese, Spring glides through the sky over an old Russian village. Her arms are extended out in each direction as if to say "Here I am!", and considering that this is Russia, she couldn't come a minute too soon for the residents below. The light green costume of Spring, accented with fine strokes of gold, is extremely well done, as are the bodies and wings of the geese, highlighted with extremely thin silver lines. The various old houses below, nestled into the snow countryside makes for a lovely backdrop. The scene is framed with a simple dot ornament, and another more elaborate ornament decorates the sides. The box is made out of high quality papier mache and does not have a hinge. It is signed with the name of the artist and village.
