The joy of life in the country is captured in this nice folk scene by Kholui artist Ikonnikov. The bearded man gently places a blue shawl on the shoulders of his wife, who has neatly braided hair and a beaded headdress. Their daughter holds a small doll in her hands, reminiscent of the girl from the Vasilisa fairy tale. The box is very colorful and pleasant to look at. The tall birch trees in the background enhance the Russian atmosphere and their bright green and gold leaves provide another burst of color. The artist drew two little birds in two of the leaf sections. Very cute. A gold ornament adorns the sides. The box is well crafted and has a hinge at the top. It is signed with the name of the artist, village and title.
