This harmonic synthesis of artwork and sculpture was done by Fedoskino artist Svetlana Chirkova. The features of the lovely woman depicted on the box are exceptionally well done with an extreme degree of intricacy and just the right transitions from shadow to light. Set against a bronze background, her metallic red hair gives the piece an air of excitement, but this provocative image is counterbalanced by the four flower areas sculpted in relief on the box itself, and the metallic bronze leaf that the box fits just perfectly in. Both tend to soften her look and inject into the artwok a more gentle touch. The box opens up to a traditional red interior. It is signed on the bottom with the name of the artist, title and year. With the first rate miniature artistry, the interesting design and sculpture, and the general feeling you get from looking at it, calling this work a "box" would be a great understatement to say the least.
