The biblical scene of Adam and Eve living harmoniously with nature in the Garden of Paradise are depicted on this work by Mstera artist N. Lukoyanova. The bodies of the couple are rendered in natural skin tone colors while the rest of the scene has absolutely superb detailing in gold leaf. It is hard to imagine the painstaking hours that the artist spent doing all of these extra-fine strokes of gold, but she undoubtedly felt good upon completion, knowing that she got it just right. The box has a gold ornament that frames the composition and another one at the side. It has a hinge, a red interior and lies flush on the surface of the table. Signed at the bottom with the name of the artist, village and title.
