These dolls are a rich, vibrant red with iridescent gold details. Each lacquered lady has blue eyes, and very dark hair. A large, shimmering flower is painted both on the front and back of the dolls (the smallest only has the frontal flower). These dolls are reminiscent of the traditional Khokhloma painting technique which developed in late 17th century Russia. An eye-catching set!
