This spectacular nesting doll, measuring about 13" high that goes back into Slavic history to show a Russian Prince (Knyaz), which existed from the 6th or 7th century until the 16th century. The horses, men and armor are all drawn with great skill and are preparing for battle, as they often did. There are 15 pieces in all, each one beautifully handcrafted and painted with a lacquer finish. The nesting doll was done by the artist Sukhanov, and is signed at the bottom, with the title. Colorful, dynamic, intricate - this one has it all!
