Set against a lush green landscape with a small kingdom nestled in the background, three sons of the Tsar shoot arrows in all directions to find their brides. In the center, Ivan has already found his partner, a frog. But as fairy tales go, the frog is much more than that and turns out to be a beautiful princess. The artwork here by T. Dobrina is very much in the style of other members of the Dobrin family with its lush green landscape, handsome looking clothing, distinctive facial details, and sensationally elaborate ornament on the sides. An excellent traditional work and a notch above many others from this village. The box is made out of high quality papier mache and sits on four small round legs. There is a hinge at the left. It is signed with the name of the artist, village and title.
