This wooden box depicts the Church of Christ the Saviour in Moscow, created with different colors of straw inlaid onto the surface, contrasting nicely with the dark background. The word Moscow is set into the front of the box. The dark stain on the wood is actually darker than the side photo shows, and the straw, in various shades of gold, brown and silvery-white, has a striking glowing quality. The exterior is covered with a clear lacquer and the inside is plain wood. The intricate pattern and fine craftsmanship make these boxes elegant and beautiful decorative accents.
